Pioneered and invented the Local Energy Exchange Platform – a schools based virtual power plant project that increases user adoption of smart, controllable home energy load control devices.

Participated/Led due diligence on strategic investments in startup energy business models and technologies including: LO3energy, The Brooklyn Microgrid (a blockchain based virtual power plant), iteros (distributed energy management software), eip wind machines, and other clean and renewable energy investments through membership in the element 8 angel network.

Work with PECI provided significant overlap with ASHRAE building standards. PECI’s past & current programs incorporate grid-enabled home energy management devices (thermostats, CT 2045, electric vehicles, batteries, appliances) for building home energy demand response control and aggregation.
